FLAG RETREAT
The retreat ceremony serves a twofold purpose. It signals the end of the official duty day and serves as a ceremony for paying respect to the flag. It is a way of showing love and respect for one’s country.
The Ceremony
Singing of the Philippine National Anthem (NOT ANY NATIONALISTIC SONG) as the Philippine flag is lowered. During the flag lowering, the flag shall be lowered solemnly and slowly so that the flag shall be down the mast at the sound of the last note of the anthem.
The municipal flag retreat is scheduled every Friday, 5 PM.
